Lyrics and riff
The song is about using cocaine, with the lyrics and tempo describing the high felt from the drug. There are 2 guitars on the track, one plays power chords in standard tuning and the other plays in Open A tuning, giving the song its unique heavy sound. The song's main riff has been compared to KISS's "Shock Me".
Awards
The song reached the #1 spot in mid-1999 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks for three weeks and #33 on the Modern Rock Tracks. Despite its rock success, it failed to chart on the Billboard Hot 100. It was ranked #98 on VH1's list of the 100 Greatest Hard Rock Songs in December, 2008/January, 2009.[1]
